Be alert to emails impersonating the festival.
We have been made aware of scam emails claiming to represent the Wynyard Tulip Festival. An email from a gmail.com is not associated with the Wynyard Tulip Festival or Waratah-Wynyard Council.
- Do not reply or engage with the sender.
- Do not click links or open attachments.
- Do not provide personal, business, banking or payment information.
- Report the email as spam or phishing, then delete it.
Be especially cautious of unexpected requests involving stall fees, invoices, banking details, application information or changes to payment arrangements.
Official Wynyard Tulip Festival and Waratah-Wynyard Council correspondence will come from this address or another email address ending in @warwyn.tas.gov.au. If you are unsure whether a message is legitimate, contact the Festival team directly before taking any action. You can also call Waratah-Wynyard Council and ask to speak with the Community Department.
